"The cool temps also protect against bacteria growth and product degradation that can occur with humidity and heat exposure."

Benefits of chilled application go beyond just preservation. Applying a refreshingly cold product is said to reduce puffiness, redness, and irritation by constricting blood vessels. The chilled temperature can also feel soothing on the skin.
