A 100-inch TV? No! Really? Yes - we’re not kidding. You’ve been waiting for a TV that makes you feel like you’re right there at the heart of it all, and it’s here. These behemoths can do that in a way that the little guys just can’t.

We already provide 100-inch options in our range, and we don’t compromise on quality. After all, if you’re choosing such a big TV, and spending money on it, naturally you want the best picture and sound, to go alongside the size, right?

To help welcome you into the future of home entertainment, let us be your guide to these magnificent giants.

Just How Big Is A 100-Inch TV?

Of course, screen size is one thing – this is measured going diagonally from corner to corner of the display. But if you’re looking for the space to fit a TV this big in your home, you’ll need to know the full dimensions just like any other large appliance, item of furniture or even artwork. Just please, make sure you ask your partner before you buy it - we’re not getting involved in that argument…

With a laser TV, the television is separated by the screen and the projector console. At around 24 by 13-inches, the projector itself is not that much bigger than a game console. A 100-inch Hisense laser TV screen is roughly 50-inches by 90-inches, though it varies depending on the model you choose. But because most of that cutting-edge tech is packed into the projector instead of the screen, the screen is much lighter than you’d expect for a TV of this size. So, you don’t have to build an extension just to buy one!

How Much Do 100-inch TVs Cost?

It’s worth remembering before you splash out, that laser TVs are a very new way of bringing entertainment home and that’s reflected in the price difference between the biggest LED tech-based TVs and 100-inch laser TVs. Generally, laser TVs range between $3,400 and $5,499 depending on the model and additional features.

However, laser projector TVs are much more energy efficient than traditional LED TVs, saving you money on your energy bill each year. An 85-inch LED TV consumes roughly 500W when they’re on, compared to anywhere between 320W and 400W for a laser TV. So annually, a laser TV costs about 20-40% less to run.

Which 100” TV Is Right for You?

At Hisense, all of our 100-inch+ TVs run on the Android smart platform, with access to all your favorite streaming apps and smart features like Google Assistant to find content and manage your home. They also have a host of connectivity options and several HDMI ports, just like you’d expect for a TV that’s going to be the star of your entertainment center and the end of ever leaving the house again!

Really, there are two key things to compare when searching for a laser TV at Hisense. The first is what kind of HDR support each TV has. All of our laser TVs support HDR10 content, though the L9H TriChroma Laser TV goes a step further and supports Dolby Vision, making it the ultimate choice if you’re planning to work your way through the IMDb top 100.

Picking the Right Screen for Your Home

But the biggest choice you’ll have to make is the type of screen that’s best for your home. If you’re looking for the perfect screen for a cinema room or sports den that doesn’t have much natural light, go for the cinema screen. It’s more than capable of showing amazing colors and immersive action over wide viewing angles.

However, if it’s your living room or any space that lets in plenty of natural light, we think the ALR Daylight Screen is your best bet. Made for airy rooms with loads of space and light, the anti-reflective surface reduces the reflection from sunlight and stops it from killing the picture quality. Whether you’re watching during the day or settling in for a night-time box-set binge that lasts way too long, the picture will always look its best.

Looking for a 100-inch, or something smaller to get you started? Check out our full range of TVs if you’re still unsure of which TV is right for you and find the perfect one today.
